968 TS

ORIGINAL: Diver944
Personally I love the shape and look of the 968 (apart from that trim under the cill)

..and the odd-looking front end, especially with the lights up. The back is much more polished than the 944's though, I grant you.

I've never really seen why anyone would pay extra for a 968. OK they're (slightly) newer, but for the less money you can buy an S2 that's pretty much just the same (I have tried my cab against a LHD, Maritime 968 CS with A/C, buckets and half cage a couple of times and the CS is only slightly quicker) and buy all new M030 suspenders - much better than the potentially worn-out ones on a miley CS. The 6-speed 'box is more trouble than it's worth too, isn't it? Or you can buy a Turbo for only a little bit more than the S2 and do the same, still for the cost of a '68, but eminently more tunable...

Again, no offence to 968 owners, just IMO.

Ah a left hooker [8|]

In that case, if I had another £5K, which I haven't (well not that I'm willing to admit to Belinda) then, I have to a agree, that I'd be much better spending it on Beaky.

I have to admit to being caught out by a dose of mid winter blues, when things like soggy carpets and wet roads get on your nerves and the grass looks greener else where. It was dry this evening so I took a detour home just to drive the car. First time I've driven it with the new ARB's in the dry. BIG GRIN [;)] No chance of swaping for a 968 now without M030. It must be like diving a soggy thing with suspension from the land of blancmange (apparently that's how you spell blamonj).

Horses for courses, I prefer the look of the 968 even the frogeye look with the lights up it adds character. Unfortunately I've never been a fan of the 924/44's , not that there is anything wrong with 'em just not for me [;)]

It's surprising how fast Mike has got into Porsche ownership. He's not had the car a month and already he's defending his chosen model above all others. [;)]

Only joshing Mike. A 968 was next on my list but, as the guys have already said, once you enter the "boost zone" there is much to be done befor you get bored with a Turbot.

I haven't even got the car yet John not due till Saturday [:(]

"Boost Zone" like it. Not my thing tho' too many parps, chuffs and whistles for me, although I do like superchargers lots of smooth delivery [;)]

Ah you don't get the funny noises with Porsche Turbos, they are reserved for the Oriental Boostie Boys.

We Teutonic lovers of the go faster hash pipe are much more understated, but once you have taken a puff then you keep coming back for more.

Yours in Boooooooost [:D]

And more power to you for that. It would be a boring place if we all liked the same, and let's face it, some people like Boxsters [8D]
