986 Boxster options list codes - HELP!

Are the options details listed only in the manual? Are they also recorded somewhere on the car? If so where? Is there somewhere (on the net perhaps) that a full set of options and their respective codes, can be viewed?

Having just bought a 986, the Guarantee and Maintenance book on page 4 has the vehicle identificaton sticker that should provide all the details about the car.

There is normally a sticker on the underside of the bonnet that is the same as the one in the service book.

Tons of info there for sure. Thank you.
I'm still wondering about verifying the options on a car. Are the details recorded on the VIN plate? Sorry if my naivety is showing a little here...
