986 s or 987 s?

Dunno if its worth a look for anyone. Dad's warranty on his cayenne is through warranty wise and they were brilliant when it threw the propshaft.

They won't waive the whole price of the check because they reckon it's very labour intensive and not all the items are covered on the 4-year (major) service on the Cayman.

Jeff

I would suggest some negotiation - particularly if you are a regular customer. The check is not labour intensive, especially when the car is in for service anyway. I would suggest an opening gambit along the lines of "if you want me to renew the warranty, I'm not paying the inspection fee" and see how you get on.

Mines due a major service in June when it's 9 years old. Need to make a decision about the warranty beforehand as this is the latest I can renew. Thinking I may put another 2 years on it if it's circa £1.3k as £650 a year isn't bad piece of mind. Hopefully this will then cover it to Dec 2016 which is probably more than the length of time I'll have the car. Plus I may get a bit of a discount if I have it done at the same time.
