987.1 manual Cayman S wanted

Thank you for your reply. I worry I will feel short changed with the torque of the 2.7L engine and there are so few 3.4L manual cars about on the market at present.
However, yes, in theory I could and would consider a 987.2, preferably a 3.4L.
There was a nice 987.2 3.4S at a well known dealer near Heathrow that has just sold, but they wouldn't let me test drive the car, which doesn't suit me.
Thanks again.
David
Following discussion with John (Register Secretary) I'm posting to ask if anyone is thinking of selliing their 987.1 manual Cayman S.
Having prior experience of 996 borescore, I am looking for a car with a closed deck engine rebuild using Hartech liners.
I'd like an enthusiast-owned car, realistically priced and am based in Guildford, Surrey.
Please post here or contact me if you are considering selling your car that will meet my criteria described above.
Many thanks.
David
I think that the 987-series cars were less popular than the 981, perhaps the 987.2 in particular, so it’s going to be a challenge finding something to suit, but good luck with your search.

Others would have a better idea than me about the cost of changing the piston liners to prevent issues if you wanted to go down that route.
