Personally I like the solid colours. At least the Red, Yellow and White. I think solid black is a bit of a let down and the metallic version stands out far better. Of course, if you choose one of the solid colours (exc black), there is no metallic equivalent anyway and for me I wanted a car that stood out. I didn't buy one to be subtle.
I was torn last year as to which colour to have. I adore speed yellow, but felt that I would miss guards red. It was only when it was too late that I had an idea about white with a bit of livery on it.
