987 V Z4 Road Test Tonight CH5 5th Gear

[;)]I wonder if the Z4 owner would feel the same about the Bangle bungle if they ever took the plunge and tested a Boxster! Even if it did mean sacraficing a few toys :ROFLMAO: The ride and build quality on the Porsche are two options BMW can't offer the Z guys :ROFLMAO:

They didn't say but it was probably power & cost of the 2.7 being a lot closer than the "S". Alternatively perhaps PCGB didn't want to see one of there more expensive 987 "S's" being thrashed within inches of its RMS :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
 
The 3.0 Z4 is the top model in the range is it not ?
Tell them to do it again with a top model Box S and wipe its RmS for it properly, if it has one of course[:D]
 
The 5th gear Z4 Vs 986 test was at Anglesea, think I've got the video on my computer somewhere.
 
Did anyone think that the test was just a bit of show? I was expecting there to be two individual track times with the same driver. Tiff is obviously the better driver and the Z4 backed off to let the 987 pass. I would think the Boxster would be fractionally quicker given a true lap time test but the Z4 was pretty quick. Having driven both I'm glad I settled for the 987 2.7 as between the two there was only one car that felt special!!

And how short is the show compared to Top Gear! Couldnt believe it.

I think all these shows are just for "show!" [;)] The 986 2.7 did lap quicker than the Z4 when tested and tracked by TG 2/11/03. Just sitting in both cars only one looks and feels special without even turning the keys [8D] About 60% shorter compared to TG bloody adverts for ya :ROFLMAO:
