Well the GTS has arrived today at the PC after 11 days since arrival in Sheerness. It is in the process of PDI, picking up Wednesday.
One thing I have noticed, the Carrera white metallic colour of this model is whiter than the previous 991.1 model which I don't mind.

See picture of old and new side by side.

Very nice, Huw and congratulations. Well worth the wait.
I agree there's quite a contrast in the shades of white, but I think the 991.2 version looks great.
I'm sure it'll be an epic car! [:)]
Regards,
Clive.

Excellent stuff....must be one of the first. Mine is about 2 weeks away I think.

You must promise to post first impressions as soon as you've driven it home please ????

Congratulations! Look forward to seeing it when you take delivery and hearing what you think of it too - I've got a long wait for mine.

Huw, looks nice but judging by the gap above the tyres it doesn't look any lower than your current car, I thought you configured it with Sport PASM? Is there a splitter missing from the front as well?

Adrian, they put the rubber lip on the front during PDI, I ordered the sports suspension, I understand there are packing they put in the suspension which assists with transportation.

Have a good look round Huw - mine was missing a mirror!!!

The car looks fantastic, and quite a blue tinge to the white by the look of the photo.

Thanks Peter

I certainly look for missing mirrors, also the paintwork, where Adrian experienced problems.

Possibly because the colour of your car ( and the previous one in your signature) is actually CARRARA WHITE not CARRERA ( that's the model) ......??
I know , pedantic , but it is ...

Looks great in ( Carrara ) white though ....white in wide body with black wheels is really nice ....

will the gen 2 car lose any of the soul of the N/A engine sound?
i am not a fan of the ethos of the 'sound synthesiser ' equipment in the modern cars ....but that's another discussion ..

Have you taken delivery yet? Hope so, really keen for you to tell us how good it drives. youll make my wait seem bearable ????

I have put two short videos on youtube of the car.

If you find the picture quality not good, download the file.

So far I find the car excellent, quite different from. my 991.1 4GTS.
I have PDCC with sports suspension, I don't find the car any rougher ride than my previous one. I have the power plus steering and the rear wheel steering which is great.

It is fitted with the GTS Alcantara package (GW) and the interior package leather (EKC)

I haven't had a good drive yet, it is certainly quieter as we know. Even with the-20 sports suspension I do not find the ride much firmer.

Some pictures of the new GTS.
PDK (250) , PDCC + PASM -20mm (031), RWS (470) , power steering plus (658), GTS Alcantara package (GW), Interior package leather (EKC),Park assist from rear (636), Folding mirrors (748), privacy glass surround (XPL), Electric slide glass roof (653), Cruise control (454), Speed limit display (631) Heated multifunction sports wheel (489), Seat heating (342), Guard Red seat belts (XSX), passenger footwell storage, Sport seats 4 way PO5)

I think thats about it. I did not spec the Bose sound system which I had in the previous GTS. I have the standard sound system which sound good to me. I don't go in the car to listen to the music.

The old and the new. Although the same colour coding there seems to be a difference in the Carrara white

I haven't found any difference yet, taking into account that a 4GTS the power is a lot of the time on the rear wheels.
