993 RS any for sale

Jimmy you will find the a/c invaluable during the summer months.

How do you find the CS after your 964?.......do you miss the motec?

I'm with RivM002 here.....riviera blue is just simply a stunning colour not that I'm biased or anything !!
Not sure if there are two different variants of riviera despite paint codes ??... I know that depending on what kind of light my car is photographed in the riviera can go from looking very light to actually quite dark but obviously not as dark as maritime.

The viper green clubsport has had accident damage apparently, I don't know circumstance or anything I was just given the heads up by someone in the know.....does look pretty special though.

There are some interesting cars for sale here for those in search

Still toying with the idea of a GT3 cup car for the open/trackdays, if you cant beat em, join em

An effective tool, but will it reward with the same charisma as the 93?
Will you go out to look at it in the garage? [;)]

keeping hands in pockets from now on.....managed to get the latest one past Mrs S without too much issue, adding another one might mean that I loose the billiard balls in those pockets !

cheap is one thing it certainly aint.....

To be honest I cannot yet tell. I have only taken the 993 Clubbie to Brands once a few days back and the day was cancelled due to fog so no action to be had! The new one is more "bang and crash", but the absence of any interior and the welded in cage probably account for that. The 964 with its 9M engine had a lot of top end power, relatively less lower down the rev range; the 993 seems torquier. The new one does scream nicely and is alleged to put out 315bhp, being in semi-Cup spec following a rebuild a couple of years ago.

Handling feels good so far and the power assistance keeps surprising me after having got used to the popeye-like strength required in a 964 on sticky rubber. Roll-on the drier weather[:D].

It's funny all this talk of special colour RS clubsports and if there's any blood orange ones. The strange thing is the first 993 RS clubsport I saw in the metal and drove was Blood Orange. I still can't believe I didn't buy it, but this was 6 years ago and it just wasn't what I was after at that time. I really regret it now.

RSR at least you saw and got to drive the mythical beast [;)]

Missing it is one thing, but if you had not kept it and traded it on for a dealers margin at those prices you may be even more upset at not having kept it.

Which car do you consider keepers from here? Any room left in 2.7RS or 993 Gt2 prices, or are most of the gains already in?

What are the keepers? Thats a tough question "Clubsport". Who knows for sure. I think as a general rule of thumb all the aircooled lightweight cars are linked relative to one another price wise and will rise and fall together. Some may go through slight phases of more or less interest than others at certain points, but otherwise all things being equal they're linked.

Sorry about stating the obvious here, but one things for sure: The older, rarer and more expenisve it is the more you can potentially gain or lose. I know of someone who bought into an early car from the 70's at what I thought was an exceptiuonally high price point and thought christ they've bought in at the top. It proved I knew nothing about it really when they were recently offered a figure that would double their investment. I've been vague on purpose, not because I'm making it up, but because I don't want to talk about other peoples business on the forums.

At the moment just buy the best example you can, because what buys a perfect car this year might only buy less than average next year. I'm not sure how long this can continue though.

Fair point and I respect your discretion, there is a problem with buying the absolute best and actually using it and enjoying it. Too much use and serious accident damage would obviously dramatically affect the cars value and not to use it at all makes it a Porsche based commodity...I personally prefer some balance.

Sensibly spoken that man. You wouldn't track a mega-money-minter. And you need to track a 993 RS (and similar cars). Quite happy with what I have.

I know of a 3.8rs clubsport in Italy tucked away, seller thinking of selling but never been on the market as yet...

Original car and in nice condition. I can get more info, PM me if of any interest...
