993 RS For Sale

Ahh !! we have met, I was at Brands Hatch when you came in a Black 993 rs,
I still have your mobile number (***906)
as I was interested in the rs at the time,
Paul Mc gave it the once over, I was in that speed yellow 993 reg RSR 9
I think you wanted low forties for it, nice to put a face to login.
I had a look at the clubsport at Eynsham, very nice, maybe we will have a chat at
Silverstone, that should not be too far North for you !!

Unfortunately I will not be at Oulton,,,too far north for me...still, at bedford on the Saturday instead.

Hi Paul,
I know I am bias, because I live so close to Oulton but it really is fantastic(bit like a mini Spa)
You must try to get up here more often (it takes about 5 days by camel)[:D][:D]

RivM002...definitely on for the Silverstone event, I saw your old C2 at the Ace last week...good looking car and the owner was very excited about it!

John, you are right, I must try Oulton, I need to get my act together and head up for the day....such an event staying over etc......
I am such a lightweight that if I drove all that way in mine I would need a lie down before heading out on track anyway [:)]

hey paul....just because you're obsessed with lightweights doesn't mean YOU have to be a lightweight too [;)]....surely you could stand a couple days Oop North at a track everybody raves about !! I didn't get myself organised in time for Oulton in March ( I'm about 9th on the reserves list ) but I was all set to pack my bags and jump on the plane.....was really looking forward to catching up with everybody...that'll "learn me" for dithering.

Hi Paul, do you know if the current owner purchased it from Andrew from Gmund cars?
or has it been sold on from the person who purchased it from Gmund originally ?
it's had a lot of owners, 11 when I sold and it still looks like new, supreme build
quality of the 993 and 12 careful owners !!

The other good news for silverstone, the porsche club are racing at the big weekend, porsche open and club champs.Should be a good weekend.

Which one has just sold (colour)?

Ben, it's not as if I won't have other opportunities to go this year....car in for a service early March.....then need alignment etc.....bit of a rush to get it sorted.

PaulH as you say good news for us lefty owners, what with being the better, though less rare car[:D]

i'm only pulling your leg Paul....see easytrack have got a brands gp day in september which would be fantastic.....unfortunately i'll be in Oz then. definitely getting over for the PCGB Silverstone event though.

Damn it, I knew I should have got a clubsport when I had the chance, so a 2016 100K projection has come
sooner than anticipated, however how many right hand drive clubsports are there? fewer than ten I would guess,
given the opportunity of 100k I think I would be buying a 997 GT3 RS in Orange or Green or White,
I wonder if the 993 rs will reach the dizzy heights of the 2.7 rs ?, well on this evidence it would appear so,
there will be a massive demand for 993rs clubsports now, hiking the price still further, one down side to this,
with values escalating, there may come a time when the rs will be too valuable to track, a victim of its own success !!
we will all be ordering replica rs's from the ninemeister with our too expensive cars garaged up.....watch this space.

Agree to downside of rising prices, last August at Eynsham Thomas asked me to sell my car to him a couple of times,,,partly in jest as he knew I had only recently bought it. I suggested he calls me when I can sell for £80k......we laughed that it may be a possibility in 10-15 years time??????

Anymore silliness in prices and I am definitely going to buy a £10k Elise as a track hack, unless of course I can pick up a Gt3 for the money [;)]

keep using you cars boys, just think about what you paid for them and smile. They are no more expensive to repair than any other porsche realy!
Mine was 33k at the time of buying.
Paul how can you miss out on the chinese and oulton now you have a clubsport, come on,you know you want to.I am sure i could pull a few strings and get you in,cancel boring bedford and get ooop north.
There was 7 uk rhd cs,1wrecked and one now in asia,so 5 cars left in the uk.

Paul will there be an opportunity for any track time for pcgb members at Silverstone, and can I book my first ride in a 993 GT2 ??
there is a nice blood orange one that keeps turning up belonging to Nick or Rick or Dick or Mick..ok Vic then.

So when is everybody going to bail out of the non-replaceable aircooled cars, sell them to collectors who want to look at them and start buying GT3's?

Is a £100k, 1 of 5 or 6 car going to used as it was designed?

Hey Simon, you are a 964 rs clubbie owner which prohibits you from any comments on this page !!
ps are you going for a pint tonight?

I can ask the ? about track time, the problem is the club are not the orgainsers of the race weekend.
I know last year there was a track day on the monday after,if enough interest i can ask steve the ? at club HQ.
What about a register bbq and drinkies at the circuit,i can bring my large bbq along in the kamper for a party,we could even ask them 64rs boys along.
We are racing a fair bit that weekend with the oldtimer porsches and the club/open races etc.
I wouild think there may be a parade lap or 2,which probably does not appeal?
I am sure vic will give you a ride at oulton if he is taking it,if you ask him nicely

Re will it get used the cs,i dont know. There are a couple of ways at looking at these types of cars,if its to look at great, the new owner will get great pleasure out of looking at such a car rather than a painting, most important he is preserveing a good car for a future enthusiast .The prev owner used as intended and enjoyed every bit of it.

I have never experienced a 993 rs club, maybe I could hitch a ride at Oulton Park from
some kind owner...

Myself or Ninemeister always enjoy taking passengers[:D]

I was very gratefull last year at Oulton for the rides offered and gladly accepted, when I was trying to decide what to buy. I am happy to offer rides this year in my own bog standard 993RS
