That would be a pucker clubsport then John, sad to see it go, good luck with the sale, sure JH will get top money for you.

Mate, it's a standard RS converted to CS spec by Porsche some years ago. I spent 13K on the engine rebuild last year (now back to standard spec). A good buy for someone I reckon.
this is the ex man lau rs then, was at ninemeister today, the car sounds 'as new', with many £££££ spent.

Yes mate, that's my car. Too much money spent on it over the 4-5 years I have owned it. Makes me weep to think about it! Like I said, all good news for the new owner.
I will be at Oulton with my lid asking for pax rides. See you all there.

haha yep i remember, lovely car and great fun. Do you still have it?

Pity I sold it .... great car just such a handful as a useable occasional weekend toy ... it is what it is a track focussed Werkes Race Car .....

however Steve, not to be without a 911 I have a 84' Carrera with retro 74 Looks, ducktail and sidescript in GP White non -Sunroof and LHD with a cheeky 3.6 993 Varioram Engine rechipped and mapped to 325Ponies by Wayne Schofield ... and weighing 1020 Kgs .... more useable and will out drag a GT3!

Des, if so, it's only fair that the marshalls are given enough warning to get extra gravel ordered,,,the new one is really quick, loads of torque I reckon it could quite deep into that sand especially without an Lsd & Abs !!![:D]

To be honest, I find the abs a pain in the arse unless there is marginal grip. The lack of lsd could be an issue though!!

Such a nice car. i remember you driving me round bedford in it a few years back. Shame that you are letting it go

LSD is only bit I need to do .... but too loud for any UK Track, great road car, bought it with Touring in mind, blast across Europe. Great pop bang on overun.

If the black Clubsport Copy is circa £80,000 then the real yellow Clubsport round the corner must be £100,000+[:)]

It really is gorgeous.

If my Euromillions ticket does me proud tonight I'll be having it myself. Wonder if John will pay me the commission if I sell it to myself [:D]

I remember it well. Great day and thanks for the tuition. The art of standing the car on its nose to shift the weight, and using that to aid turn-in. Great stuff.

The number of RS built is incorrect - surely they should get that right as a specialist. I presume they were meaning number of Clubsport but Johnny's car is a conversion.

I got the production figures from Patrick Paternie's Porsche 911 Redbook as here http://p-car.com/production.html

If you have more accurate figures I'll happily update the ad.

I tend not track my CS as often as I used to now,

If at all!!!! [;)]

I know Steve won't mind me saying, but he rang me the other day just to say how he'd driven his 993 for the first time for months and just to share, absolutely full of it, oh wow, wottacar!!!![:D]

Enjoy it, and looking forward to some Club racing from you -praps they should all drive to the track and home again....just like the old days!!

The only downside is the 500 Kms that seems to be added each time ...

And everybody wants Virgins !

Or maybe it's the 10% excess on the trackday insurance .... it's £1500 max on the 968CS that my Son uses ....

I was reliably informed about 100 M003 993[:-] That figure is near the 964 M003 figure which bounces around 150 - 300 but there are 300 chassis numbers 292 seems to be the most common.

Des,

This was from a book from Porsche Stats. I can only go on what is written there. Where does your "reliable" source come from? I guess it is the ususal Porsche story - no one knows exactly how many were built..... It does seem though that 1014 for total RS is correct so it doesn't affect my comment regarding SCoM's advert was originally incorrect.

Cheers.

Harry
