993 RS TYRES ?

SO UR NOT THAT DAFT ! WHERE ON EARTH DID U FIND UR SIZE REARS ?.........................i found u the trolley jack etc come on where are they???

Ur absolutely right good boys , but even though the 265 comes up largish on the rim its still a bit small on my 12 "[No dirty boy the BBS ] thanks anyway i luved those tyres on very similar car to the one ur currently using ................great all round wet /dry /wear ...............better sans oil!

That was my old trick years ago slicks on the roof rack....but if you dont have a passenger you can get all 4 slicks in the car (964 RS) by taking the passenger seat out puuting the tyres in and then putting the seat upside down back on top of the tyres.......aaahhhh thooose were the days

A lot of the GT3 boys have gone for the Toyo R888's this year with some very good results, half the price of the MPSC, and I am told a little better in the wet.

Steve at simply tyres is the man, posted to your door next day [;)]

Nick, i ve got the Toyos on the big boy ................price , depth of groove all good ,on a dry GP cicuit at Brands almost as good as MPCS..............have nt used in rain yet ..................... Good price from Steve, SIMPLY TYRES

I used a new set of R888s in the rain at bedford last Thursday. Plenty of grip, front to rear balance was much the same as in the dry. I was aquaplaning on the straights at times, but so were the some of the cars on full wets! There was a river running across the apex of the corner before the pits, even that didn't unsettle the car much.
The tires were MUCH better than I expected.

Sounds pretty standard !Nothing is immune to rivers across tarmac!Tks.
At the current price i find them very hard to ignore ..................after all everything wears out !

I have been quoted for Dunlop DZ02Gs from Mr Tyre (Motorsport) Ltd

235/40R18 DZ02G - £143.55 plus VAT
265/35R18 DZ02G - £166.05 plus VAT.

How do I contact Simply Tyres?

well ive gone for dunlop supersport race

Keith, I know its a long time since you got them , but how were they? I need to replace my rears before Bedford on Dec. 23rd

From the Dunlop Motorsport website Supersport Race are only available in 255/35 and 265/35ZR18, what do you fit at the front?

I went up to Brands this morning and spoke to Steve of Simply Tyres. He offered a really good deal on 2 x 225/40 and 2 x 265/35, fitted at just under £600 including VAT. Couldn't refuse! I will report on their performance at Bedford, but they certainly felt better than my old Pirreli P Zeros on the way home on damp and bumpy roads.

Met up with a few familiar names and put faces to them, two fellow 993RS owners; Paul (Clubsport) and Mark (MTBR?) along with John Lyles (sp?)

We put my basic spec car on the scales and it weighed 1288 Kg with about 25 litres of fuel and my chav 1000 W sound system [:D]
