I live about 15 minutes from Castle Combe and hope to give it a run there on the Classic Action day with Region 16, already booked some track time in advance. Also with DMS Automotive we are always being invited by customers who's cars we have tuned to various track day locations. Don't get much time during the week I'm afraid but would like to have a crack at Goodwood as well. The Classic Action day at Castle Combe on the 17th June (Le Mans weekend) sounds a good day out.

Thanks for the pricing breakdown.... most useful.
Perhaps this is indicative of the North/South divide?!
Sadly the petrol cost up to Edinburgh cancels out any potential savings, and I'm also drifting towards your view that this could well be a good upgrade path for those of us that do low mileage.
Thanks again for this info,

Hi Lads
Here is the final breakdown of the costs.
M033 suspension from Porsche Reading (inc discount) £315.44+vat = £370.64
Fitment by Steve Bull £285.00+vat = £334.88
4 wheel lazer full alignment £140+vat = £164.50
Total £870.02

Thanks for sharing the pricing. I've just been quoted £1000 + Vat for labour to fit my M030 springs, anti roll bars and Bilstein HDs. Followed by corner weighting and full alignment. This is for labour only! I'm providing the parts.
Had a quote for a more palatable £500 + Vat for the same job.

Not surprised at the quotes. Differences due to different labour rates I would guess?ORIGINAL: Pickled Piper

The whole M030 / Bilstein conversion takes a quite a bit of time once you include replacing springs, dampers, rollbars, drop links and then on top of that corner weighting takes a long time as well. If you then have a full alignment including the kinematic stuff it all adds up.
But if you are doing the whole conversion the corner weighting and alignment needs doing to get the best out of it (and don't fall for the "we will mark it all when we take it apart and bolt it up the same so we won't need to do the alignment" story some will try to sell you).

The difference in quotes is partly down to the labour rate but also because the first independent has allocated some very generous times for the work. However, I do know they have all the equipment for corner weighting and alignment and will do a good job. £1000 is just a bit much to swallow. The second independent is a smaller outfit. I'm going to visit and talk to the man about alignment etc. to see what he is proposing.
Both are in the West Midlands just a few minutes from each other. If you are in the West Midlands I am sure you will know them.

Will someone please tell me what i need to do.
Should i buy the MO30 or MO33, will i need to replace anti roll bars.
I want a good handling road car, do not want teeth jarring ride.
Please advise exactly what is needed. Have read tech articles but still unsure.
Thank you.

I can guess the larger one. Good idea to go and talk to the other. He might be just what you want. Bigger is not always better (however the larger one is very good - they did mine as part of a big 48K service I had done).

I've decided on the larger one after much procrastination. That's not to say I wouldn't have got a good job at the smaller and cheaper place. I'm taking the safe but expensive route as I know they will do a good job based on my previous experience and your previous posts.
I'm of to put my kidney and other non essential organs on ebay!
They appear to be stacked out with work so I guess based on the laws of supply and demand they can hike their prices somewhat.
