993RS at last weeks auction

Does anyone know what happened to the red "Clubbie" with gold BBS rims that Coys had up for auction ? Possible the red one Vic was on about in the earlier post ?
Thanks

Yes , i went to inspect UP NORF ...............very nice guy many Porsches ......................i described it as tired ,,,,,,,,,,,,the German buyer specifically wanted a cs and despite various bits it is an original panel , possibly paint also.............he bid 3K more than my pal and FWIW it needs abt £10k work ............went via well known German trader !

Assuming i got the right car this time !

Paul im sure u know this guy from racing ....seemed to me what u saw was what u got

Key probs with car , mega rust ,minimum screen out at front and no original Speed lines , well there were but at least 2 were completly use less

Myriad of other bits , apparently slave cylinder for clutch but had new clutch , frankly bit tired all round .............overeall for someone looking for a cs not unfair deal ..........not cheap when all done but where do u get another never been stuffed??

Clubsport will no doubt offer a yellow one any minute !

You never lose it Vic, always remembering, how market conditions may suit a clients portfolio! [;)]

It may well go at some point, these days I seem to spend far too much money on carbon fibre and time in lycra! []

Gents

For those that are interested, or know some people that are interested, I am putting my clubbie up for sale now. It is not listed anywhere yet; I am speaking to said German dealer above (Tom) from whom I sourced it in 2006 as that could well be the cleanest sale and the Euro is still not bad! I have mentioned it to Paul McL also. I am deliberately not putting details out everywhere right now to avoid dozens of internet threads about "who knows this car". If I can sell quietly at sensible money I will. There seem to be no clubbies on the European market right now so price is tricky and it's all about history, provenance etc.

That being said, I am interested in very genuine buyers and you gentlemen, many of whom I have bumped into over the years at RMA days, Porsche Club races etc, might well be able to point people towards me. The absolute basics are that it's black, it looks perfect (because it had respray/rebuild in 2008-9), was sourced from Tom, looked after at GTOne, 117k km/72k miles.
