993RS at Paragon

I thought Andy Baughn's car was a small spoiler model - it was last time I was in it.

I thought there were 41 Uk rhd RS then the 7 clubsport cars.......then you have to consider the rhd cars delivered to HK, Singapore, Australia etc...

Yoda, for the last few years I have always seen Andy B's car with the Clubsport bodykit, I remember it for sale, believe he bought it that way.

I think there were 56 lightweight RS's RHD plus a few (6?) Tourings.

Des, I think you are a bit out with your estimate that a RHD '64 RD sells at only 10% premium. I think it is closer to 20%.

Absolutely Simon.

C'mon Des, not like you to not big up the prices[;)]

Mel,

Don't you understand what he is trying to do? He is trying fool people into thinking that LHD is almost as expensive [:D].

EXPENSIVE!! How can such great value for money be expensive. Appreciating assets can never be called expensive. I think what Des is really should be saying is that the LHD cars represent even better value for money and room for capital appreciation, if that is important to you. Personally, I prefer the "drive em like you stole it" approach and sod the capital appreciation.

It depends on what price one originally paid e.g. Paul Howells said he bought his RS for £33K [:-] - he will be laughing. You cannot buy a decent one for less than £50K in the LHD, never mind the RHD. I have to agree that RS represent good value compared to the ever depreciating modern Porsches but they are still expensive (at least they are for most people and that includes me!). Just tell Jo public that a £50k+ car is cheap!

Andy has the blue chequers on his roof - he still has that car
the blue RS is Robs - notice the Manthey Exhausts on the rear ( Sad I know but I do know my RSs )

I dont know ... but he kept the GT3 RS !!!!

does that say something ?

the next Porsche ICON ?????

now they are cheap

7 delivered to Hong Kong. 2 silver, 2 red, a Riv blue and 2 yellow.

2 to Singapore I believe.

There was a guy from South Africa who did a WW survey on RHD drive cars. cannot recall the results as it was a few years ago. Overall there must be around 80-100 RHD 993 RS's out there
