am I the only bloke hanging on to his Right hooker?[8|]

Well I'm certainly hanging on to my right hooker and even find myself thinking of adding a yellow one too. [8|]
That car looks lovely.
What an opportunity for the serious RHD 993RS collector. A chance to collect the whole set.... white, red, black, yellow... [:D]

Just add a midnight blue and silver one to the pack for a full house.
Did any carpet cars come in Riviera Blue?

I'm keeping my RHD RS too. I plan on gifting it to my son when he grows up (he's less than 4 months old) if he's interested, if I've kept it out of the Armco and if there's any petrol left. To whet his appetite, maybe every 5th year between now and then I can advance him one of the wheels from the set of 4 new Speedlines I have stashed in the loft?[;)]

Lovely car in a great colour! [;)]

Inspired me to aim for a speedyellow rs after seeing it in that Evo article a few years ago. Good luck with the sale, JP and good health.

ps.... am I the only bloke hanging on to his Right hooker.... and does that mean I'm missing something!![8|]

Same here. I read that Evo article (featuring this particular yellow car) many times whilst in a crappy on call room in a depressing wing of a hospital quite a few years ago. It inspired me to own a 993 RS one day. I was annoyed that the yellow 993 RS didn't win the test.
I feel lucky to have owned one of these cars, taking it to the Ring and Spa etc. I remember very fondly having a ride in the yellow car above at Donny, and then taking the owner around the track in my black car after that. Good times. But these cars are too valuable to thrash (like we did) nowadays. They are pieces of art that I will remember owning and driving with a great sense of nostalgia.

I know they are valuable, but never too valuable to thrash!

I know road tests are subjective, and particularly with 911s being so adjustable quite dependant on set up, but i still fail to get the 4* evo rating with the idea of it not being hardcore enough.

I gave up reading EVO some time ago as I think it reads more like the sun, and fair enough they need to make good stories but is a 996 or 997 GT3 really more enjoyable? Faster maybe but so much more analogue!

Still like all good things so long as we know that is all that counts.
