996 exhaust

He's fitting them next Thursday , so I'll let you know how they sound when I get it back !! I'm hoping they sound ok ;-)))

Yes please tell us about the finished job as this is exactly the set up I fancy for my C4.

Think they are lifting your leg at £500 for fitting!!

Cheers,

Chris

Hi everyone , I have had the Dansk sports boxes fitted now and they sound great !! They are a similar sound to the original ones on Tickover although very slightly deeper , but on acceleration they are awsome !! without being over the top , so I'm pretty chuffed!! In fact I drove home from the garage with the windows down just so I could hear the sound, so all in all I would say that I would recommend them if your thinking of changing them ;-))

That's just what I wanted to hear......[:)] apart from the sound of the exhaust of course!

A second positive recommendation.

Enjoy, especially with the onset of Spring.

Hi kasspa if you send me your email address I can send you some pics of the boxes on the car as they were being fitted !!

I often drive around with windows down. Or just as u pass someone give it a bit of gas, they either smile or call u a $$$$$,it always makes me smile. Glad your enjoying your new exhaust

Does anyone have experience of replacement silencers that are NOT louder than OEM? My silencers are OK but are breaking up inside and only just making 105dB noise tests, I'd like to replace them with something as quiet as OEM but cheaper than £2.4k Porsche are asking!

i should add it's a GT3 but noise tests can be a pain for all models :)

You could try contacting Hayward & Scott based in Essex. They can probably fabricate a system for you well below OEM costs.

I had a HS system on my 944 turbo for 8 years with no problems - no droning or obtrusive noise, just a subtle rasp when turbo wound up.
