996 Insurance shock

996 C2 (2003), 17 years NCB, 8k miles per year, £1000 excess, NOT garaged, Tracker (they insisted on this), South Wales, Direct Line £620. I thought that Elephant were good last year at £850! Adrian.

35 yrs old living in EC1 (City of London) + girlfriend, underground secure parking, full ncb, £750 excess, no points, no tracker, 8k per year - £1,200 for a '05 987 S with Norwich Union.

Beware!! If you have a nearly new car make sure you establish that it's replacement cost is valued with extras!! Many will only give you a value based on list price without extras so if you are unfortunate enough to have a total loss in the first six months you may face getting a payout many grand short of the replacement value!!
