It is with great regret that the 997 Register concours has had to be cancelled.

Concours

Our 2010 997 Register Concours will be taking place on August Bank holiday Monday 30th.
Once again it will be taking place alongside some excellent racing and backdrop of Castle Combe.
This was a great event last year and the reasoning for our return, the Concours had some superbly turned out cars and the winners showed the Register in excellent light.
A bonus is that we get a great deal on the tickets to also watch the racing that takes place at the same time- even my wife thoroughly enjoyed herself. The racing includes rounds of the Porsche cup and a great Porsche V Ferrari challenge
Full details are yet to be finalised but I will update as they become available.
However the date is confirmed [:)], so once again time to get your polishing cloths out - or kitchen roll [;)]

I will probably organise a small gathering, whether just social or for a drive from the Cheddar Gorge towards an afternoon in Bath, followed by a hotel for a social dinner on the Sunday night prior "" more details as they are put in place.

They were very helpful last year and easy to deal with. There is no cost to enter the Concours and after the excellent presentation last year, I hope that this year will just as good. Heres the link to last years event with photos of the winners [link=http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=460833&mpage=4&key=concour]http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=460833&mpage=4&key=concour[/link] This really is a great day out for all the family and at a very reasonable cost.. It will be interesting to see if the winners defend their titles... one of them has already won a rossette this year!! garyw

Hi Geoff You are an early bird [:D][:D][:D]. I have spoken to Castle Combe this morning and the promotional code and ticketing for Porsche Club members will be available from Monday 7th June. If it is not working then, please let me know. Harriet

You should hopefully see the full details in the Porsche Post. There is also an paper copy for entrance into the Concours but it does just mention the regions ( were an add on [;)] ) So I'll be booking my tickets this coming week [:D] garyw

Booked and polishing. Richard and Jane, are you 'competing' this year? Need some incentive to get the cotton buds out!!!

Peter, sadly Richard and Jane are away on Hoildays... so trying to get you some alternative competition [;)] garyw

If Martin enters we'll have no chance. That was a beauty.[:)][:)] http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/5937/medium997concour3.jpg

Booked and confirmed. Hopefully as good as last year and looking forward to details of the drive. Geoff

Sadly we wont be participating this year so we will leave it to you boys in the red cars to fight it out for the honours with no worries of a bright white car upsetting the apple cart [:(]. Ps Is anybody going to the Porsche and Polo weekend?

Richard Sadly I've double booked myself for the Polo, it was either park up in a field or spend the day for charity ragging my car around a track.... That and driving an Artic or Coach [8D] whilst the Spitfire and P51 flew overhead....[&:] Can you let me know if you are interested in a drive out on the Sunday around the Cheddar Gorge. It may help me to gauge numbers for accommodation if required.... garyw

We could do with some more entries to make the competiton a bit more viable, if your thinking about entering then please do get in touch sooner than later.. We have the judges lined up and its not me this year [:D] garyw

Peter I would love to enter as I did last year and at Silverstone this year but sadly we are away on holiday in Cornwall .I wish the best of luck to all that enter it is hard work but very enjoyable and friendly.
