997 first service

OPC should check for any leaks but I suspect it was a RMS (rear main seal) leak that you read of earlier. This does not appear to be so common a problem as it once was and unless you've noticed any spots of oil on the garage floor your car is unlikely to be afflicted. Presume you've been keeping an eye on all the other fluid levels so unless any of these have been dropping you should have nothing to worry about.

BTW don't forget the steering fluid level, I checked mine on delivery then forgot about it for a month or two only to find it was off the end of the dipstick. I got the OPC to top it up and its been ok since, but for some reason this is one check I find too easy to miss.

Thanks Snarf.

Every little bit of info helps especially when it comes to cars!! As like most females,we prefer to leave the car mechanics to the boys!!

Thanks again.

RE PCGB discount - Silverstone OPC wouldn't enter into it for service, either parts or labour - a flat no.
they do honour it on over the counter parts sales tho.

Last November and I made a purchase in February (accessories).
I would certainly take it up with Robin, he's very approachable and keen to see us as happy owners.
