997 gen 2 will not start

Battery on my wife's Discovery failed when car was about 2.5 years old. All LRs have 3 year warranty and to my surprise battery was replaced free under manufacturer's warranty. Had a similar problem with my previous 997 gen 2 at a similar age with extended warranty but had to pay myself for replacement battery . Huh.
