997 REGISTER CHRISTMAS PARTY

spook said:
Hello Clive,
Please include Michele and I on the Sulgrave Manor visit. Hopefully it won't be quite so cold and smokey in the scullery this year!!

[:D] odd that everyone remembers the cold and smoke! LOL :ROFLMAO:

Just had a room cancellation for the Hotel and Christmas party booking, so if you'd like to join in with the festivities in December, please contact me and I'll provide you with the booking details. lancerlot@hotmail.co.uk
Regards,
Clive

Our hotel will be asking us for confirmation of the final guest list shortly, so if you wish to join us on this festive event but have not yet reserved your places, please do so right away
You can get in touch at lancerlot@hotmail.co.uk.

For those already booked, I should be receiving our Gala Dinner Menu very soon now and I will email this out to everyone listed when I have it.
Any further information required? Please let me know.
Regards,

Clive

A copy of the menu and provisional weekend itinerary has now been sent to everyone on my list, so please check your mailbox if you've not yet received them. If still nothing, then please contact me asap lancerlot@hotmail.co.uk

The hotel would like our menu choices in by 7th November please. Any queries, please let me know.
Not too long to go now! [:)]
Regards,

Clive

A gentle reminder that the competition is now on for the wooden spoon and the last food orders to come through to me.

I have over 75% of the orders, so if the rest of you could forward them onto me asap, it would be appreciated.
It will allow the hotel to sort any food allergies you may have- and stop you from going hungry on the night [:D]

Our party weekend is fast approaching, guys and gals. [:D]
By now you should have provided Gary with your menu choices.
You haven't? ............. [:(]
Then you'll need to do so right away or else you will be without any dinner at the party and this would be a miserable start to your Christmas celebrations! []
Regards,

Clive

The final is underway.
Just 2 couples missed the requested deadline for the food orders, so the wooden spoon is all there to be won!

or as Clive says- it'll be hospital dinners- where you get what the last person in ordered [:D]

As a nice pleasant update to the upcoming Register visit,

The daytime venue of Sulgrave has agreed to open earlier than they first thought they would be able to.
Their orangery will be open for refreshments and toilet facilities from midday.

For those that may wish to grab a quick snack, I believe the plan to meet at the Public house down the road is still a viable option- it also opens from midday.

The Tour starts at 13.00, so if everyone can be ready to assemble and sort out with Joanne or myself the payment from 12.45, that would be greatly appreciated.

Pleased to report that all food orders have been safely received and the hotel is busily cooking them away [:)]

Prior to this current very wet weather!, I managed to have a dry run of the route for those joining us from the Hotel on Saturday morning to Sulgrave Manor, even sampling the goods at the Star Inn. (Sunday lunch)
It's neither a complicated or difficult route and was safe for front spoilers and wide wing mirrors [;)] although the Polishers amongst you may grumble a bit! I ended up with a brown vehicle, but I guess that's expected this time of the year.
Its only 54 miles, so an enjoyable way to get from point A to B, if the weather is fine then it has some stunning views out across Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.

The room will be set up as round tables of 10s, During/prior to the drinks reception you will be able to collect you seating card that will have your menu selections printed on it and reserve your seats via their placement.
I've done wedding seating and don't fancy doing that ever again!! [&o]

No mention of dress code on here then?[;)] Chaps, if you're not wearing DJ/Suit with bow tie you will be underdressed - well, compared to Clive and myself anyway.....I'm sure the ladies don't need any prompting.[:D] Oh, and I have done the quiz!

A picture of sartorial elegance then! [sm=kiss.gif]
I have a lovely quiz prize kindly donated by a PC (provided it arrives on time)!
Regards,
Clive

You might be.............

Crikey, PCs are being very generous this year - must be all those car sales......could do with some more Mobil 1[;)]

I think notes on the dress code were sent out within the email.
I hope most owners know what they can wear on the day, its not a black tie event (yet) that I'm aware of [:D]

Great news on the quiz and prize, the local OPC won't give away paperclips, let alone prizes! :ROFLMAO:

Well it should be! Just found it in one of the e mails!
Our PC has been exceedingly generous all year.

Many thanks, Gary and Clive, for another top class combined Register event. The usual mix of great venue and great company and very helpful hotel staff. Can't believe it's so long since we saw some old friends......Would certainly get our vote for next year! Hope everyone had a safe and uneventful journey home and, oh, well done the to quiz winners.[;)]

Dreadful picture of me, thanks for that Alan! [;)] Fantastic weekend as ever. Good food, great roads and wonderful company. Only complaint is that it's over too soon.

Myself and Jo had a great time and it was wonderful to host the range of modern register members at the event.
Hopefully everyone enjoyed the whole weekend and had an experience to remember.

It was as always great to catch up with old friends and make new ones along the way.

My thanks go to Alan for organising the quiz and to Clive and Phil for arranging the prizes.
