Hi Stuart. Sorry I mean it is currently on 17000 miles. Actually it was on 11,000 when I bought it, so i've only done 6000 myself. Wow that's poor! Bought a one way train ticket to PC Edinburgh to collect it without seeing it prior (deposit was returnable if worst came to the worst). Guards Red manual. Yes currently looking to keep it a long time. Don't need anything any faster or more modern.

Well. Assuming you're not colour-sensitive, There's a gorgeous Manual Cobalt Blue with 32k miles for Ā£53k at ASM in Buckinghamshire.
Cambridge OPC have a white Manual with c35k miles for Ā£70k which is very strong money even if it would come with the 2 year warranty.
Hofmans in Henley-on-Thames also have a white manual with c27k miles for Ā£67k. Hmm
Esoteric Auto in Beds have a nice Black Manual for Ā£48k but it does have a high 62k miles on. Now given your limited mileage this could actually work in your favour as you won't be adding that much each year (?)
There's some higher mileage ones here too, but they'd need a proper think-about, even though most people wouldn't worry too much come resale if they heed the 'History, Condition, Spec, Colour, Mileage' mantra
(Ignore the muppets who manage to slot 996 Turbos into the 997 category!)

PS - have I seen you at either The Hare in Roxwell or White Elm in Danbury for breakfast meets? You should give them a go if you haven't!
(Hare is 1st Saturday each month, Danbury is 2nd Sat each month )

Thanks for the above info, yes I am colour-sensitive, so Blue will be no good for me, however I will have a look at the other ones you have listed.

I actually looked at a 996 Turbo S the other day, I guess you lot are going to tell me that I have sinned?? going off the 997 thread.....but any advice? Apart from go to the 996 Forum...

I've just bought a 997 Turbo Gen 1.5 - had a 997 C4S a few years ago and the difference is huge. Will be used as daily transport but only 18 miles a day.
Had to go for a tip as have back issues.
My last two cars, both bought new were "autos" - C63 and CLA45, and whilst both great cars the Turbo is in a different league even though its 7 years old!

Sounds great hope you enjoy your new purchase!
While you where looking I don't suppose you came across 1.5 in manual?
