997TT side sill - refitting rubber "mud guard"

You need to loosen the lower section of the inner wheel arch liners front and rear to reveal 1 screw fixing at the rear and a locating tab at the front. Otherwise you just remove the exposed torx screws on the underside. Once free of screws, the sill can be pulled away as it is fixed only by slotted tabs on top that locate into plastic poppers pushed into the upper sill panel. These poppers are sacrificial and cannot easily be removed from the bodywork without damaging them, but they are supplied with the new sill kit. However, they can left in place and reused in a simple sill removal and replacement exercise. Regards, Clive.ORIGINAL: m33ufo Are they simple to fit - like the originals, just bolt on? Cheers.
Hey I just realised I know you from Boxa.net! So you got rid of the Datsun and bought a 997 Turbo! Good man. Are you enjoying it after the GTR?ORIGINAL: m33ufo I'd guess they just bolt on. Doesn't look like there's any "bodywork" involved. If you happen to have a part number on your invoice from Porsche that wound be ace? What do you think, are you happy with the look?
