A DAY OUT WITH ASTON MARTIN!

I'm still waiting for available dates from the factory, so please bear with me as I chased it up last week and then again this week. It's taking time, but hopefully we'll get there eventually.

Obviously we won't be able to take firm bookings until we have the date confirmed.

Regards,

Clive

Can you pencil me in for up to three places please? As you know I live about 50 miles north of Gaydon so would plan on joining up with everyone there.

Wishing everyone a good time on the Aston Martin factory tour next week. Unfortunately, due to family commitments I am unable to attend myself, but I know how enjoyable the day will be from an earlier visit I made. There are some really iconic and famous cars on display, the factory tour itself is wonderful and the culmination of a chance to drive some of the latest Aston Martin models really sets the seal on a memorable occasion.

Personally, I doubt there will be many members won over to this marque just from a day at the factory, but it's all great fun and I look forward to hearing your impressions of the tour and experiences with the cars on this forum very soon. [:)]

You need to contact the Register Secretary to see if there are places left.....

No sorry Joe, I was always committed elsewhere from inception, once the factory had released the date, so I never figured in the entrants list - but full marks for being on the ball, though! [;)]

Very well Clive - i had forgotten you planned to be elsewhere. I have a pal who fancies an Aston so i thought i may hook him up. :)

A splendid day out with AM! Thank you (older) Clive for setting it up in the first place and thank you to (younger) Clive and Jonathan for their efforts today making it all run very smoothly. The drivers had a good length drive in a variety of models, yours truly in the Vanquish V12 and the 4 door Rapide S. As we know, beautiful to look at, sound terrific and very capable. My lingering impression of the day is the vast number of people involved in producing these cars. All the staff we met were most charming and so besotted with their product.
Still very happy with my turbo on the drive home though[:)]

Hi Alan,
Great to hear you enjoyed the tour and demo drives.
That's a horrible piece of kit in your photo - and Astons were renown for their good looks, previously! [:(]

Looking back, I see we started the ball rolling for this tour in May 2015, but there were several blind alleys and false starts along the way. However, the launch of the new DB11 and recent opening of the Bristol Centre certainly helped and I'm glad we eventually managed to pull it off. [:)]

We had preliminary discussions earlier in the year with Cosworth Engineering too regarding a trip to their Northampton factory, but I'm unsure as to how this might be progressing. https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=913652&high=Cosworth
