a few turbo questions

With some reluctance I am probably going to have to go elsewhere this time around due only to the hassle of getting there and back (Darren, if you happen to read this you really need to get some old nail of a courtesy car ).

Where are you Steve? I have the same issue, so perhaps some mutual lift-sharing would be worth considering? I'm HP15 postcode, near Great Missenden.

My mechanic did a h/g replacement on my car in under 4 hours by himself one afternoon.

Oh, I'm in the south too.

How does it go? "Runs away and hides".....

I am in Farnham Royal, so the other side of Beaconsfield to you. I really rate RPM so would prefer to keep going there, but they are a bit remote. Alternatively I am only a few miles from RSJ Sportscars in Slough which would be very easy. They are a Porsche specialist and well known on Pistonheads, though I have not seen them mentioned on here. Decisions decisions!

You're near me then. I don't mind the travel, to me it's worth it for the peace of mind. If I wasn't going there it'd be Promax, which is no nearer. Let me know if you're booking it in, I'm sure we could work out some form of lifts. I'm normally finished work early-ish, so tend to do the run over there late afternoon. My problem is that SWMBO tends to get caught at work until about 5.30, getting her to rush over to the middle of nowhere usually doesn't go down too well. [&o]

I also try to get regular service/MOT etc. done when my step-daughter is home from Uni. It costs (a lot), but I prefer her to get the money rather than cab it. From your signature you might be a few years away from this! [:D]

You might also check out the price diffeence with these different tuners too. There is quite large differential and assuming they are all very capable and it seems clear that they are then the differntial of up to 400 pounds on a chip / boost + D.P wastegate type tuning job may be worth considering ?

Just a thought.

sounds good. I need to get a belt change and service done before May, as my life is going to get rather hectic after that [:)]. Time for a bit of a search through past posts on baby seats in 944s!

I need to get a belt change and service done before May,

Bought mine in May last year, so MOT and service will be due around then. Give me a call and we should be able to do "one in, one out" return journeys!
