Ace Cafe London Porsche Night Launch Party - 31 Jan

I will give a plug for this important event this evening on my radio show. If any anorak has a laptop with wi-fi [or whatever] one can hear Lawyers With Attitude on Sound Radio [www.soundradio.org.uk ] between 7 and 8 tonight.

Enjoy the event - I would hope to do an outside broadcast sometime perhaps....

Julian, it's about time you got 'podcasted' [:D] [:D]

I'm going to try to get there early - depends on the 40mph road block on the M1 though!!! Looks like a few 964s might be on the cards!!!

Dave

Enjoy the evening and the show.

Incidentally, just love the picture of your new car alongside your name. 0 - 60 mph in, say 20 minutes?

Well im the first casualty, 4pm right on the top of the flyover at staples corner, 5 mins from venue, my accelerator cable snapped on the 965, just managed to limp to a side road,
'kin marvellous

Bad news Sam. Hope it was all resolved OK.

Not wishing to rub salt into the wound but...what a great night! An incredable turn out with well over 100 cars.

Congratulations to those who made it happen.

I only had one issue........there seemed to be a stalker. []

Sam, I am sorry you missed it, but at least the cable is relatively straightforward to replace!

Also, to the chap who was hit by the post office van[][:(], I'm really sorry for your misfortune and hope the insurance companies will sort you out quickly.

To everyone else, I can only say that I was STUNNED by the amazing turnout on a midweek/cold/Jan night!

Counted just under 150 cars on the night with everything from a concours 356 and mint 2.7RS upto a lairy 997 in Riviera blue with colour coded wheels! All the cars looked brilliant and they were a testimony to their owners. It was great to meet so many new people as well as old faces, and a special thanks to those who travelled from as far away as North Yorkshire, Wales, Cornwall, and Bournemouth to show their support.

The Ace is a terrific venue, and I think their Porsche nights will continue to be a success. Hope to see you at the Ace on the last Wednesday every month! [:)]

I'm sure everyone who attended last night would want to give a huge thank you to Kish, Adrien and Des for getting the event off the ground and so well publicised! Especially Kish, who did so much whilst being on holiday...[;)]

It was great to see the Board represented by David and Peter, and Louisa and Jenni gave up an evening to help give the launch a real "Club" presence.

It's good to see such interest in the venue - I remember the dark days of last year with a couple of Porsches lost in a sea of modified 318 BMWs with neons and silly stereos. I think last night was a little more civilised, and long may it continue!

Folks, what a brilliant event, wonderful array of cars to see and some great people to meet up with again and new owners to chat too "" there was this one guy (sorry forgot your name) who owns a 997 turbo had some great car stories to tell, awesome.

Let's hope following ACE meets attract the same number of participants

Missed it...[&o]

Unfortunately I was stuck on a (late) train from Birmingham... By the time I got home you would have all been leaving[&:]

I was there... Thank you to Kish, Adrien & Des for getting this event off the ground! Nice to see Jenny & Louise from PCGB-HQ too. What an attendance, superb atmosphere and the convoy type drive home was an apt ending to my night. Looking forward to the next meet. ;-)

Paul was that your 356 in the car park? What a very, very beautiful car, so nice to see, made my evening that much the more special.

Hi All

Yes It was our 356. It behaved very well and we were allowed to park in a good and safe position.

What a great evening, just think what it will be like on a nice summer evening.

Lots of people travelled a long way to support the evening , and I am sure that Kish, Adrien and Des were delighted with the turnout.
As an extra taster, the Dysart in Richmond has great parking, and I am sure you will all get a warm welcome. Second wednesday of the month.

Have fun

Paul Kelley

Missed it too, seems like a good turn out! I forgot about this when I 'Sorned' the car for a few months as I won't be driving her again until March or so.
