additional headlights on 944 S2

Afternoon everybody. I've just bought an S2 and wonder where the switch is for the additional headlights in the front bumper. Side lights work fine and 1 of the 2 fogs work but neither of the additional lights. Are they always wired up and if so is there a separate switch? BTW its a RHD car but SA spec.

On mine its a half-turn on the main light switch I think.

I then get a green light illuminating on the dashboard saying "Parking Lights", turning it again and the main lights pop up.

Lights were wired differently depending on the delivery country, also even in the UK the legislation changed at some point so there was a changeover to a different method of operation.

On my UK turbo (1990) the lights operate as Uncle_Badger says.

The additional lights on my car (1990 UK supplied) are main beam. The pop up lamps are dipped beam, single filament bulb. Headlamp flasher should light up the main beam!

That is odd, I thought all pop-up lamps were H4? with dipped and main beam, I have side lights and main beam on my "bumper" lights. Flashing with the pop-ups down flashes the "bumper" light.

UK spec cars - In the front bumper there are fog lights / side lights and 'driving lights' that come on with main beam or when headlights are flashed. Some cars headlights come up with sidelights - some don't dependant on model years. A relay kit will improve performance of all the lights. The bumper light lenses can be very difficult to remove and the back parts were not available separately - maybe they could be 3d printed now.
