advice on a 944 turbo conversion for sale

Alright Paul , Fen has been critical of other member's posts and keeps been critical of my posts . I found the info online and did state that I had seen online some info regarding the valves been diffrerent on the 944 Turbo S , so again I stick with the fact I was not posting nonsense and that Fen was having a pop again , trying to make people feel some what inferior to him !
So Paul I do not tolerate people such as Fen who try and make others feel inferior and try and intimidate them . I am a fighter in life not a cowered . I will no longer post on Fen's forum as I think this is totally outrageous that you are advising me or been out of order when again Mr Fen started criticising my post when my info was backed up online ! And if you read some of the post's they all deviate from the original subject to , again Fen was been critical about this, saying that the person was asking over a 944 Turbo been converted to a Turbo S so to undergo such conversion you would need the 250 engine too and the ECU's ! I do not have to keep getting wound up on this forum , it is meant to be enjoyable reading about 944 different subjects , yet ends up a dictators forums !
Cheers Paul

Don't overreact on Fen's comments, they often if not always feature some tongue-in-cheek remarks which are actually pretty funny if you care to take them with a grain of salt [;)]

the engine is the original one, it is not the one from the S.

i dont think things like first and second gears were upgraded like on a S (looked it up)

trying to look at it next week however have seen a couple of other ones that have not been messed with though going for slightly more

And the fact that somewhere on the web it says something doesn't necessarily make it any more correct.

I know in 2007 Lee Noble and more to the point his staff were on the phone to me on a quite regular basis regarding one of Lee's 944 Turbos regarding advice. I even sold them a wastegate which may be the one mentioned in the ad.

I also remember telling them that if they want beyond 320 bhp they didnt want a standard wastegate. I also believe they were having problems with it over boosting prior to getting the wastegate.

Off the top of my head, I think it just had a k26/8 turbo, and standard everything else, I cant remember if they had one of my chipsets.

Its worth putting a value on it of a good nick standard 944 turbo and if you find its more special than that then count yourself lucky. I think the value is about right that its advertised for, if its truely as good as you could imagine, then its maybe worth a bit more, but who knows what nasties you will find once you buy it, but thats always the way.

thanks again for the input, the car failed the mot so needs a £300 lower ball joint (made of gold) and a steering gator.

im trying to muster the funds as he will let me have it for less than £3995

Re-built wishbones from Hartech or similar less than £200 per side, don't forget you'll need a decent alignment afterwards.
