Air intake grills.

I have wondered what the take on them is in Germany where anything not TUV approved is disallowed by law and so the police will stop cars which have such things as race type bonnet pins. This may also apply to grilles where they are not fitted during factory assembly.

Bonnet pins could harm a person unintentionally thrown on to them, so design approval makes sense. Flush fitting grilles, especially those fitted behind the existing plastic vents are unlikely to present a safety hazard. However, if a cop is looking for trouble who knows how he will behave. Holiday makers travelling home, via Belgium, a few years ago where regularly stopped and fined for no obvious infringement. They were taking revenge for some football issue long since forgotten. Hopefully times have changed, but after Brexit all bets are off.

Thanks everyone. Zunsport grilles ordered and received. Very fast delivery. Items are of great quality and finish. Next step fitting. Hopefully the old knees will hold up. Stones and leaves will be banished.

Zunsport grilles I would assume would only cause issues with air flow would be under extreme engine load if at all.

They do offer significantly more protection.
