I think the club is missing something by not seeming very interested in the heritage of Porsche, particularly as it seems that the factory is becoming much more interested with its Porsche Classic program, and Porsche GB also running its Classic Restoration competition for Porsche Centres for a second year after its success in 2014.

The club encompasses all models of Porsche from 356 to 991 and treats all its cars and members as equals, without exception.

There are always heritage articles in Porsche Post and also Porsche Past photos here on the Forum.

The club is interested in all models of Porsche's whether it be old or new and I would suggest that the relevant RS of any model could easily bring to the fore the qualities and nuances of each and ever model. By doing so the profile of that model would be raised and interest from the wider membership would be engaged.

Just look how successful the 997 and 991 RSs have been by doing just that in their own way. I suspect that if each of those RSs were RSs of any other Porsche model they would have the same enthusiasm and membership engagement.

We are in the process of refining the media storage facility to make it more member friendly, once this work is completed the Archive will 'launch' the various sections such as the Porsche Cars log, Porsche Posts (which have now all been scanned), the Club's brochures one model type at a time etc. with the intention making the archive material fully accessible to the membership.

Watch out in PP for updates!
