some point from a PPI on the green 996.

here is small list of faults are as follows
Front o side tyre 2mm inner edge 4 mm outer ,slight tyre wear
Short front brake pipes slightly corroded porsche 911 996
Front wishbones starting to u bond
Rear suspension top arms x4 bushes swollen
Exhaust manifold

Are any of these faults major...apologies , it is all double dutch to me. Would you advise to walk away or are they to be expected from car of this age (1999)

Contact Rob Kellock (Club's Vice Chairman). His 996 engine threw a major wobbler. I would think he would tell you about it but it may bring back some unhappy memories for him.

I would want more info on "exhaust manifold" that's listed on PIP. Old 996 suffer from badly corroded manifolds and fixing bolts. Mine had virtually rusted away in its 12 year life. Could be a very labour intensive repair due to fixing bolts losing hex to corrosion. A quick pic from underneath with a digital camera would confirm its condition. Cars this age have a nasty habit of producing big bills on the obscure . Take care.
