Hi
As you are all aware Paul has felt the requirement to sell his S2 and with it give up the post of Register Secretary. I have been approached and agreed, not with out some trepidation, to take on the position. All I can hope is that I can be half as good as Paul at it!
I know you will all want to thank Paul for his fantastic contribution to the Club, the Forum and in particular the 944 register, over the past 14 years, making the vibrant community that it is now and I would venture, helping to form the good natured communities on Facebook, which seem very much fairer and nicer places than some of the other motoring pages I have come across. His easy way with people, face to face and on line, will be much missed. He has earned so much respect from all who have come across him.
From my perspective, over 9 years, it was always great to turn up to events to see him, in Hi-Vis directing the masses of Porsches with authority and humour! I do have it on good authority that he will not be a stranger.
Thank you Paul.
I'm not a new member on here, but just to confuse everybody I have changed my sign on, from A9XXC to Mike Pollock. I think both are reasonably well know around the 944 community and hope that I can continue where Paul has left off.
If there is anything 944 related, please contact me.
I am looking forward to meeting old friends and many more of you over the coming months, starting with Rutland Water!
Mike
