Annual mileage on your 997???

I clear out the holes on mine on a regular basis, and especially before and after a trackday. Be careful what you use though as you don't want it snapping off in one of the holes! I had that using a drill bit but managed to poke it out with a thin round file. Doesn't stop the cracks appearing though. [&:] My PC reckoned 40k miles, including a number of track days, was a good life for my discs (they are also nearly down to minimum thickness)

Under 7000 a year, car is always garaged car has never been outside over night, hell I even avoid driving it if the weather forecast is looking a bit iffy and it might get wet. Never had a problem like that but I always give the car a drive after washing to dry the brakes off and warm them up. 11 months for rear disks? Wow.. that's got to be a manufacturer problem... My c2s is 8yrs old front disks were changed last year think I paid about £170 for the disks, the rears are ready to be changed now after 50k and the disks are in the region of £180.
