Any club members from Thanet here?

Whilst giving the Box its weekly rub down earlier today, I looked up to see a black Carrera Cab. passing by. Unusually, the driver gave me a wave. So, I'm wondering how many club members might there be in Thanet?

Porsche's are certainly no rarity here. I regularly see more than half a dozen Boxsters, a couple of Cayman's and a good few 911 variants.

It's a bit of a trek to get to the Moat for the club meets so haven't really had the opportunity to meet with other members. So, if there are any Thanet based Porsche owners (whatever you drive) who would like to say hello, send me a mail and introduce yourself.

Yes, I live in the Margate area and have a red 944S2, not as posh as the 911's and your Boxter, but a Porsche nonetheless and in Thanet. I only usually wave/ flash at other 944's and 924's because they are usually the only ones that wave back!

Hello I wave to all Porsche's for some reason Boxsters owners do not wave
back ?. A Porsche is a Porsche it does not matter if its's a 924, 944 , 911 etc we all love the brand.

If I see a late 80's black 911 turbo on the A256 I will give you a wave! ;-) Just i'm not used to many other cars responding. Look out for the Guards red 944 S2 flashing his lights at you.

I might even work at the same place you do ;-)

My 944 is off the road atm for a little tlc too! I'm repairing the rust at the bottom of the front wing (made a repair section from 1mm steel and gas welded it in) and have prep'd the badly stone chipped and rusty front panel and headlight covers for paint.

Will keep an eye out next year.

Yes, please do wave/ flash lights etc. I will if I see you. My 1990 Guards red 944 S2 is now back on the road, recognisable by shiny RHS front wing, badge panel/ headlight panels[:)] and dull red lhs wing, bumper and bonnet[]. More fettling to come later in the year, but I'm using it on and off for now. Usually commuting between Palm Bay and Pfizer.

That sounds like a good plan. Would be good to shake hands with a few club members from the far corner of Kent. Maybe a Sunday lunch meet? Chilham perhaps? Or some similar venue with a bit of parking space?

Is that your article in this months PP by the way? A good read...

What makes you say that [:)] in the summer we will try and make it happen.
Get your thinking cap's on people for a good venue .
