Any club members from Thanet here?

ORIGINAL: andyslade

I am in Whitstable,so if you see a 86 944 turbo in red,give me a wave!
Andrew.

Does your car have red sports seats, had some paintwork done on the rear 1/4 (to repair vandal damage), and had a top end re-build to the engine about 12 years ago and had a previous owner called Steve??

If you meet up in Chilham I would come along, I am based down near Dymchurch. Not that many Porsches down here although I have spotted a Lapis Blue 993 Turbo near New Romney, not sure if they are members.

I have had similar problems waving at other Porsche owners, just a vacant stare !! Don't think all owners are necessarily enthusiasts.

Hi guys.
I`m from Faversham 997 C2S in Atlas Grey.
I`ll certainly be up for local meets ........... whenever

Hi Guys

Anyone take a ride out today in this super 'Summer' sunshine? Took a roof down drive over to Walmer today. Absolutely superb. [8D]

Andy, I took a trip down to New Romney early last summer in the Box. That super twisty road down to Romney from the Hythe road is a pleasure. Good and flat - no hedges or walls - see for miles! Yep... put it to good use I can tell you. [;)]

Oh, saw three Boxsters and two 911's while I was out. Waved a bit... all in vain! [>:]

Went out yesterday, some twat in a Renault ran into the back of us while we were waiting at a rounderbout in Margate.Wife got taken to A &E with wiplash. Not too much damage to the car.Looks like it will need a new back bumper, rear lower spoiler and a new rear exhaust section.
So a great day in the sun!
Andrew.

Blimey Andy. Sorry to hear that. Hope the wife is soon feeling better and that the car is soon sorted. Must have been quite a clout.

My wife is feeling a bit better today.Got to sort out the insurance tommorow(that will be fun!).
Thanks for the concern.
Andrew.

Hi, took a ride out to Hastings on Sunday came back via Camber and Dungeness. Unfortunately every one else from Kent also decided to go out for the day so the roads were a bit busy. Roll on the summer.

Jimso, we are very lucky down here with some great roads to drive. The road from New Romney to Rye via Brookland is a fantastic road with some good straight bits and also some twisty bits. Not sure if the Romney to Hythe road you reference is the A259 this can be very busy with cars going at 20mph, if it is then you must have had a lucky run !

Pity you missed the Kent Region Drive & Sunday Lunch on the 17th - 35 of us had a great sunny topless drive to Eastwell Manor, near Ashford - with dedicated Porsche car parking - and had a fantastic lunch, including a few members from Thanet.
We're doing another Drive & Lunch on 30 March to Wealden Hall, Larkfield - see Porsche Post for full details.

Should get my 944 turbo back from the paint shop this week. Then i can get my work shop where i work to fit the genuine Porsche rear exhaust box(lucky the insurance are paying) then i will be back on the road.Think i will avoid Margate for a while!
Andrew.

Hi Pearl and Phil,

Would have come along but the car was in bits, changing the suspension which is all done now. Will be along for March 12th meet at The Moat.

Andy and Ann

Andy, thinking about it I was a bit out with my geography. Not Romney... it was Camber Sands.

Des, Blazing Donkey is a good suggestion - from the look of it on their website at least. Have to say I have never been although I have heard of it on countless occasions. I hope they have a generous sized car park! [:D]

The Camber Sands road is good, this leads to the Rye Brenzett road that I refered to earlier. If you guys meet up at the Blazing Donkey would come along if I am available.

Andy.
