Any Recalls for Cayenne V6?

I have looked at those sites before I posted here. They are all for US Porsches, not UK ones.

I think as responsible UK Porsche car owners, we need to know everything we can about recalls. Someone here or in the Club should lobby Porsche UK to give us this information. If this has been done in the past or ongoing, can all know the status of what's happening.

BTW, has anyone been notified of any recalls to their Porsches before? Whats the nature of the recall?

In the US all recalls are required to be a matter of public record.

In the EEC I do not beleive this to be the case (?)

There have been recalls - 993 wiring looms being quite recent. I imagine the owner is sent a letter.

Contact your dealer - most are helpful and will check but most recalls don't warrant a letter unless they're safety related.
Have just had my S updated with 4 or 5 after some other work was done - all stuff like a new rear badge -'cos the other might corrode, and new tailgate window switch.

All the recalls are VIN specific and issued by Porsche AG so it shouldnt matter.

I got a recall by recorded delivery from Porsche Centre Reading (Porsche Retail Group - i.e. where I bought the car from). It was a software update and could be classed as safety related.

EDIT - I forgot to say that it was not for a Cayenne.
