Anyone been looking on Thomas's site recently?

Sorry Doc there was a tongue in cheek element in my 'valuation'..................strong belief in buy what it says on the packet, or walk away, however lovely selling is a difficult thing ...................i learnt the hard way!

Vic, interesting stuff.....do you think it over priced at 80 grand....minus any discount you might get? If the GT2 conversion was done at the factory, then I don't think the price is that bad. I agree though that this car isn't going to flourish as an investment. But it looks OK compared to a new GT3 for the same price.

The white car puts me in mind of Pistonhead's Flamespitter's Riviera blue 993 GT2 Evo replica. It too was based on a genuine 993 RS CS. But he has spent a mint creating a replica GT2 Evo race engine (much more powerful than the non-Evo one), plus did the brakes etc etc. But I wonder what someone would buy it for? I'm sure getting one's money back would be a bit difficult.

Wud not dispute the quality or the expense to do it , Porsche Fac bills dont hurt [except ur wallet] with prices as they are its not bad value .............however remains a bitsa ............perhaps compare to Paul Mac Yellow car that went to Sambaman, last heard of in Leeds it was a 993 rs cs/ beautifully uprated to rsr spec and indeed seems to find buyers readily ..................when GT2 were gaily changing hands between ÂŁ60 -80k ,no one wud ave cared now though anything cud happen .............its all quite heavy amounts of dosh to be buying replicas however good , the car at Gmunds road converted looks nicely done ................i guess what i am trying to say is why not buy an original while there are some around ,there ll always be a place at a price for these other cars .......................

I see what you're saying mate. [:)] This white car is obviously a bitsa. But real GT2s are very dear. I suppose you pays you money, takes your choice......

But the white car at Gmund has doubled in price in a few months hasn't it?? [;)]
