Naffed off

Just leaving the house to go to croydon and get a text "sorry sold car to next door neighbour for £200 more"

why do people do this when a deal has been agreed???

so looks like my search for an early continues and the turbo eludes me as of yet.

thats just bang out of order!!
i hate it when people do this, an agreement is an agreement. feel for you mate.

Yes

would not have been impressed if i had driven the 140 miles and it was gone

oh well suppose i will be in the lux next weekend now - but hey who needs that kick up the arse of the turbo

I'd text back that he has entered into a contract to sell to you. As he has broken that contract then he owes you £200 compensation. Legal letter in the post!!

ok . But did turbo's come with wider d90's than the S2? If so what size?

Yes, for the late Turbos.
S2 is 7J front, 8J rear. Tyres are 205/55 16 F and 225/50 16 R
Late Turbo (250 bhp) is 7.5J front, 9J rear. Tyres are 225/50 16 F and 245/45 16 R

The wheels have exactly the same faces in all cases.

The original 250 bhp Turbo, the Turbo S, has 7J front and 9J rears, but those were the forged CS wheels.

Absolutely spot on Lowtimer, Elliot would be pis**d to say the least....bad work, mind you i managed to do 150 miles to pick up a car after agreement and a bankers draft in the glovebox, he then rang to say that it was gone, his dad had sold it apparently..........................Rhymes with flanker !
