Anyone heading for the festival from Yorkshire?

We're driving down to Brands on the Saturday morning & I was just wondering if
anyone would like to meet up for the trip down.

As last year we're camping at the circuit again (had a really great time, superb atmosphere!)
so if anyone's thinking of camping we could get our own area together at the site.

I'd really recommend the camping to anyone thinking about it, we felt it really made the
weekend. It's really social especially at this kind of event where everyone has a
common interest.

I'm down there too. Having camped last year I was more than a little disappointed in the state of the toilets and the showers. As a result I have a room reserved in one of the Travel Inns somewhere for a couple of nights. I don't normally mind roughing it but they were a bit extreme, made Le Mans look like a 5* Hotel.

I'm sure I've seen somewhere on a forum link that the facilities will be improved this year, which, if it were true, I may camp again as it was great fun on an evening.

I'm going down Saturday but the time will probably depend on whether I camp or not.

Sarah and I will be going to the festival on Sunday / Monday to camp. I wasn't aware that you could go on the Saturday! anybody else going on Sunday morning?

I'm heading down on Saturday to Gloucestershire to see another 964 owner, then heading to Brands on the Sunday. But we might be interested in travelling in convoy. Looks like wee James is coming, so it might be a 2 car journey. James, I don't think wee James is ready for the Porsche Prince yet.

Camping's available from the 25th thru to the 29th inclusive. I suppose volunteers, traders etc will stay for longer than a night or two.

We've booked the welcome buffet on Saturday night to start the weekend off, will camp Sat & Sun night driving
back home on Monday evening.

We wanted to stay the two nights because Saturday night in particular was a blast last year on the campsite [:D] [;)]

IF I'm going, I will be staying Saturday night. Can't make plans yet because my wife is due to give birth this week (as I'm sure eveyone is sick of me telling them [;)][:D] )

Family is fine... except baby was due on Sunday and its still being stubborn & hanging on in there[:)]

Still not sure on Brands yet. I'm busy with a DDK classic Porsche weekend that I'm organising. 18 classic Porsches blasting around the Northern Dales folowed the next day by a DDK display at the Raby Castle event [:D]

Hi,
Irene and I are going down for the Monday afternoon with Mark & Maggie whilst en route to the PCGB factory visit to Stuttgart & Leipzig. Unfortunately, can't spend anymore time than this at Brands but we are looking forward to seeing what is on offer.

See you there.

Adam

Hi Graham,
We are planning on setting off from Harrogate around 10-10.30 so if you wanted to meet up we could make a plan.
Anyone else reading this let me know if this could fit around your plans for the drive down & we can meet you further south on the way.

Hi Doug
We have changed our plans we will come up to Knaresborough on the friday stay with the wifes sister and have a meal at SO on the night
So we could meet you somewhere in the area for the drive down , We are staying at the Hill Top hotel only a few miles from Brands

Hi Doug

We could join in the run down. If you were looking to leave 10 - 10.30 from Harrogate we could join maybe at Ferrybridge services 10.30 -11.00 (assuming you are going down the A1). As I said at Raby castle I'm not camping this year but will be passing the entrance to Brands to get to the Travel Inn. I won't be able to make a meet much before 10.30 if at all (its a long story).

I've sent you an e-mail off your profile with some contact numbers if you need to ring me.

Either way, should see you this weekend.
