I've seen the car round Sheffield a few times, but I've never seen it parked so cant comment on the condtion. All I can say is the colour is awful and I've never seen it as clean as in those photos. I think it lives only round the corner from me so I can go and have a poke about tomorrow?

Rubbish. [
There's a Cyclamen car that comes to Frontrunner every year, and it's one of the colours that really suits the car's design IMO.
I'm totally against trying to disguise an iconic design and pass it off as a modern car, hence my dislike of smoked or clear lamps, modern wheels etc. It's an '80s classic, and should look like an '80s car. Metallic Burgundy is a colour that epitomises the era, witness the 959 at Porsche and Polo. [

Sorry Tom , but im another fan of the Cyclamen colour.[8D][8D][8D]
Rubystone IS horrid though....
I stand by my cam challenges.
Like i said , some folk are just lucky....
Maybee i was one of the unlucky ones, it just seems there a few more of us than lucky ones though...
Buy a car without a cam/chain check at your peril...You have been warned....

Next you will be telling me Rubystone is nice
Sorry, I really like the Rubystone cab that shows up occasionally. [&o]
My favourite is Maritime, as I've often said, To me solid colours are best on the cars, but I have a real soft spot for very "period" colours on a classic car.
Just goes to show how colours can be so subjective. No wonder all 996s are in boring silver! [

hehe, colours are subjective, but i think the cyclamen is lovely!
i also love that lilac that the 911's come in, v different!
edited to add, there is a maritime 911 just round the corner from me, and its absolutely stunning.

Bright garish colours can suit older 911s very well, I have no idea what the colour is called but there's a stripped-out 964 with a rorty exhaust in a fairly bright semi-bilious lime green just down the road from me. It's not a colour I would choose myself, it's a bit "look at me" for personal taste, but I must say it does suit the car far more than I would have expected if it had been only described to me. Orange works well on an older 911 too.
Dragging myself back to the cyclamen 944, I think that colour works well and agree with keeping the cars visually set in their design era.
