Anyone hillclimb their 92/44/68?

Synchronicity or something this thread. Never had much of an interest in hillclimbing then I realised that our new house is about 15 to 20 mins from Gurston Down, drove past the place earlier today. Shame I didn't think about this Friday as it seems the clubs championship was there Saturday, oh well. Went on the Gurston website and I see my old work mate Simon Neeve is leading the local championship in his Evo, I wonder if he will win it this year. Very tempted to do the course there and will attend an event or two to see what the craic is like.

Hi Neil,

Its a shame you couldn't make it to Gurston on Saturday - we had 16 entries with a huge variety of Porsches - the Porsche Club Speed Championship includes 924, 924S, 944, 968 and a variety of Boxsters and 911s

Nice picture Paul, weather was a bit dodgy here Saturday but absolutely baking Sunday afternoon. They are running the course in a couple of weeks time but the only road legal car I have with good tyres and brakes at the moment is the ole P38 Rangie. I think they might feel I am taking the micheal somewhat if I turned up in that [:D]

A 924s is booked in too, anyone on here? Bit of a transaxle outing! They have an event on tomorrow too and a little birdy tells me they have a 918 booked in... I'll be eagerly awaiting photos/vids of this at work [8|]

That's my friend Matt, one of the Total Porsche magazine blokes. Also just got my mechanic to come in his 850csi. That should be fun!

Brill! Is that the red 924s then I take it? I've got a few pals coming along as well: a couple of s2000's, an e36 m3 and my best bud James in his EP3 Type R race car. There should be a good whiff of 'friendly' competition in the air...

Just had a look at the regs for the first time in years! Looks interesting, although I think that £110 registration fee is excessive seeing as I can register for a CSCC race series for £90. Do you allow guest entries for those who may only want to do one or two rounds, what's a typical entry fee at some where like Curborough and how many runs do you get in a day?

Yep. He's got the 924S, an SC and a Boxter. The 924 is well prepped as a road/track car.

Looks like we'll have a bit of fun.
