Arbee is stuck in Leeds and requires assistance

Pleased to hear you got it sorted so easily. And you saved nearly £100 compared to taking it to an OPC.

How come they can charge you £157 for coming out and doing the job, or £252 (service menu price) if you take it to them?

Richard - the £157 is the cost I was charged for the battery only. The test, fitting and old battery removal was part of Porsche Assist. he stuck the battery that he carrys for just such an emergency in and then called the OPC in Leeds who took my card details over the phone. I got the receipt in the post this morning.

Adrian I can't believe your experience!! I've allways run cheaper Porsches in the past and never been to a OPC in my life. When I bought my expensive to me 911 I was looking forward to my experience with my local OPC! How wrong was I, the car as extended warranty and I had a problem with a condensor. My OPC said condensors arn't covered under warranty even though I pointed it out in the book.

In the end I had to get Porsche GB involved and send the car to another OPC 40 miles away.

That's what i call service![:-]
