That's the kind of car showrooms my wife likes me to visit when she is in the car out for a run ......CLOSED ONE'S ......[:D][:D]

Sad to report no silverware for Team Spyder. Prizes went to my pal's pristine 997 sports classic (by anonymous judge) and a rather lovely 30th anniversary model 964 (competitors' favourite). No prizes for second and no score sheets to assist with areas for improvement. Some very good competition for sure, plenty of lovely cars on display. Was good to see flat6 and his Spyder too. Next time we shall give them some exercise and not just park them up.

A pity about the silver ware ...obviously the judges where bribed [:D][:D] What is that on the windscreen is it a spec sheet of the car or a copy of the one that was sent out to us Spydermen

Hope it's not a For sale sign due to no prizes today[:D] Rob owning driving and enjoying is better than any Silverware took me 20 years before the penny dropped :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Ha - it was a home made spec sheet. Then flat6 loaned me the official one. Have to say, drying it off again after the 3rd shower was perhaps a bridge too far...

Re spec sheets for individual cars. Those that gave names as attending Silverstone filled in Spec sheets for individual cars. I completely forgot that these were supposed to be handed out to owners on the day. Must see what happened to them and report back.

Was good to see you and the Team Mangetout gang Rob[:)] Somehow I ended up parking my car close to the your official arena and me and my mate's 991 had a mini display of our own[:)] I expect your car was a close 2nd Rob. The Sport Classic and Spyder are similarly rare (and was there a vote for "the car you'd like to go home in" that made up part of the score?) but I guess that extended leather interior and those Sport Classic rims clinch it with the voters. They do look worth every penny imho. Even leather covered air vents. Exquisite. The model will no doubt have some critics but if money was no issue and I had to choose between a GTS and a Sport Classic i'd buy the Sport Classic. But between a Sport Classic and a Spyder, now that's a tough one[8D]

Great find flat6 but you need to get yourself down to Spec savers  "no Porsche" [8D]
:ROFLMAO: As that video clearly did nothing for you guys[:D] you'll have to make do with wall to wall cars. A neat compilation for Porsche cars. There's even the Spyder in there[:)] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYGRbisa-ck

Here is a question for you Spyder owners. As all the new cars steering feels sub standard and only has 90% of the feel of our cars. What usable car would you own if you did not have a Spyder and there was no such think as a Cayman R :) Lets say 50k max spend and the car cannot loose more than 5k in the 1st year of owner ship and do over 20mpg in the real world Also this has to be a 1 car for all, no garage queen.

I am a big fan of the sports classic. The pictures don't do it justice. It really is a thing of beauty up close. Ultra rare too - Hassan reckoned there are less than 40 RHD in the world!

The jury's still out on which is the better off the two video's [;)][;)] I do like the interior colour of that Sport Classic . Brian

That's what I call one very hot Porsche and again it is a limited edition with lightweight roof just like ours[:D]

John, as there are a number of scenes featuring a car with solely a man stood in front of it, I see the Porsche clearly[:D]
