Aston Martin Workshop Visit

Hi chaps

I've got everyone down from this thread including the guys from out of the region and currently standing at 28 places taken for the visit and 27 for the meal.

I did say initially 30 but if anyone else would like to come i'm sure we could squeeze in an extra few!

At the moment there seems to be little interest in the set meal but when i negotiate the booking for the meal i'll see if there is any flexibility.

cheers
Julie

Hi Chaps
This visit is now on for Wed 12th May 1800 at Aston Workshops (RED ROW, BEAMISH CO. DURHAM, DH9 ORW) the tour of the showroom and workshops will be from 1800 to 1930 with the group split into 2. One doing the workshops while the others do the showroom then a swapover.
The meal is booked for 1930 in the Black Horse next door, where we wlll (hopefully!) be seated together but you order your own meal from the menu and settle your own bill.
You can either park at the Black Horse or the Workshops as they are only about 200 yards apart and there is plenty of parking space.
To avoid any confusion i have attached a full list of attendees who have all booked for the tour and meal. If any of the below is wrong please let me know by posting a reply on this thread. If any partners are missing then i can add them in but i can't take any new couples unless someone drops out.
So fingers crossed for nice weather as the views from the pub are fantastic, see you there
Julie

Sorry Julie, can't make this for 1800 as would take couple of hrs to get there and don't get home til' 6pm.
Thanks again for the invite but maybe next time. Have a good evening. John

Hello Julie,
Just to confirm what we said at the meeting, would you put Gillian and I down for the meal only, as I don't think we will be able to get there in time for the tour.

no problem Martin its the tour which really has the limit on it (something to do with health and safety) so the meal will be fine. Looking forward to seeing you both there

Julie,

As per our conversation at Silverlink. I would like to do the tour but cannot commit to the meal.

Wish I'd seen this sooner, have to try and make the next one, will have to go to the Metro Centre car night with my mate and his Mk2 Escort[:D]

Julie,
Slight amendment, we will be attending the workshop visit but not the meal.

Thanks,

Neil

THANK YOU JULIE
Well done for organising the visit, greatly entertaining and interesting.
We hadn't been to the Black Horse since it has been extensively modernised. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks Julie for organising. Once again very interesting to see such beautiful old motors and the dedication of the team who maintain and rebuild them. My Dad, who tagged along with me, was in his element!

Julie - thanks again for letting an R1 member tag along - amazing insight into restoration, great cars, and very good company over dinner.
Thanks to you all for being so welcoming.

Mark

Really pleased you all enjoyed it so much. we might try to do it again in another couple of years!!

I was nearly tempted to defect to the beautiful silver grey DB7 with the cream and blue leather but hey ho I still love my porker!!
