I'm with you! Needed a relay for my 964 RSR, the parts counter guy at Reading had NO CLUE what I was talking about. Had NEVER heard of what an RSR is, wanted the part number. I told him to look at an RS, he had no clue... Anyway, he needed 2 weeks to get it "from Germany".
I bought the part at design911 and had it overnighted. Really sad!

Yes an insentive, but not a discount and thats a big difference.
I wish I was only losing 10k a year, but I bought it and I accept it [:'(]

To me Porsche really went our separate ways in 96......the Specialists are raking it in from servicing and sales while Porsche AG pander to their new market I would never dream of taking my RS to a OPC.............no disrespect I find East London great guys to go and have a coffee very enthusiastic but different era we have to remember this with the older cars PORSCHE completely changed the accountants and USA market dictate long live the good specialists............why are aircool cars making more money than contemporary water cooled? Wakey wakey Stuttgart......but suppose the masses will buy it's numbers game..actually do like the 997C2S they have made an attempt but how the 911 has put on weight since the 80's.........997RS could be the second coming let's hope...........[]

I have had dealings with both sets of dealers. Aston come out on top by a mile. Would it stop me from buying another Porsche, NO.
The product is so good, just let down by bad management. It will take time to effect the Germans PBT though and until that time, you will have to put up with it.
