Autofarm Visit - Feb 21st - Names here please!

Hi Mark, I know it is very late, but was wondering if it is alright for me to come along aswell? My membership number is 50192 Thanks Kenneth

We worked on about 30 cars, and you make 30 [:)] But if there are any more that want to come, I'm sure we can squeeze them in...

ORIGINAL: spyderman I'm sorry to say that I might not manage the trip on Saturday as I'm currently off sick. Much annoyed as the weather keeps saying sunshine and 10 degrees - might have even got the top down!
Sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better soon. I really appreciate you letting us know. If you feel better you are still most welcome. There are also other events later in the year [8D]

Hi Mark Looking forward to tomorrow!! Can you just tell us a bit more about the format? When is it best to arrive, what is going to happen ..... ? Thanks for organizing this trip, see you tomorrow. Arne Grawert

Format is pretty free really. Autofarm have advised arriving before 11 so as to have enough time to see everything before they close for the weekend at lunchtime. We can arrive any time after 9. There will be a Boxster or two in pieces (to what extent I'm not sure). They have their silsleeve engine conversion, and other enhancements on show, with a tech to talk about them. There is all the performance modification/bodywork stuff they have developed for the 987/Cayman. Take a look at the [link=http://www.autofarm.co.uk/projects/cars]The Autofarm Cayman RS[/link] to see what they can do. There are the restoration and special projects workshops with cars in for work. The "Beirut" 911 72 Carrera RS will be on show. And there is also all the usual workshop stuff that you'd expect [:D] There will be refreshments provided - just drinks and biccies/snacks I would think. I'm sure there is enough to keep the anoraks amongst us occupied the whole 4 hours (no names!), but there should be enough diverse stuff to make the casual visitor interested for long enough to make the trip worthwhile [:)] Take a look at Autofarm's website to see what they are up to. Ditto from me too and thanks for the fine topless weather [8D]

Well I want to thank everyone for coming [:)] We certainly had over the number who had booked - which is nice (far better than no-one turning up!) I hope I got to say hello to everyone there - I tried, but if I missed you I'm sorry. There was lots of technical talk, both inside and outside of the buildings, and I think most of us learnt something. I certainly did! The restoration cars looked fantastic - what a job to get the orange one ready for Essen in a month! The engine modifications they have developed for us water cooled owners were facinating, and the suspension alignment drew quite a crowd. The pub lunch afterwards was really nice too - good food and good company. So thanks everyone for making it such a successful visit, but thanks most of all to Autofarm for inviting us to see what they can do.

So that was where everyone went...! Seriously though, many thanks for organising a great day, Mark and a big thanks to the guys at Autofarm for putting on a great display. Nice to get the roof down too - both there and back.

Mark, Thanks for organising the visit. I really enjoyed the morning, finding out about some of the engine myths, and meeting some great fellow Boxster owners. And what can I say about the weather, amazing!

Mark, A big (belated)Thank you(caused by not being able to access the forum site- now fixed obviously) to You & all the lads at Autofarm for a great & informative visit. It's good to see the nuts & bolts of our superb cars - well not actually ours if you see what I mean[8|]. Thanks also for organising the weather - we had the top off all day! It was soooo good to see so many Boxsters in one place - even just to compare the colours[:)] And great to meet so many like minded people. Cheers Edward & Linda C7ELP

Can only echo the other words of gratitude and appreciation. Thoroughly enjoyed the day out , great to meet Chris and Matt the autofarm technicians as well as the other PCGB members.
