My Missus loves that Monaro, and last time we were down there Roger took great pains to keep pointing out another one they had for sale. I hope it's gone now as I felt my wallet clenching with angst.

Thanks chaps, going off on one every so often is probably healthy (somehow), I'm sure normal service will be resumed for all concerned once this thread gets back on topic [;)]

Paul, I have the matt black (or possibly just very, very dirty) one with black wheels & the orange Wortec stripe. Looks like a 1:1 scale HotWheels car [:D] Not convinced the (any) Monaro is the car for me, but it's started me thinking about sticking one of those lumps in mine if (when) it eventually needs a new engine.
 
I'm not sure what any of that really meant, but I am genuinely sorry to hear about your Dad.

With regard to the Bailey DVs - you are quite right they are a spring loaded piston - silly me [&o]

I remember now as I periodically had to dismantle mine to clean it.
