BBC Top Gear rang me!

ORIGINAL: 924nutter
I think it would be fun to see Jeremy do a lap in the passenger seat of a 924 gts/r with the Stig at the wheel

This would be a great piece for the Annversary[:D] Does Paul know if there are any GTS or GTR on the Register, or even in the UK?

I thought I read in a previous Porsche Post that Derek Bell has a GTR from new, it would be nice to get him on the show, or even track down one of the Le Mans GTP's. []

Maybe the Racecar secretary has some contacts to track down these rare beasts?

For all you UK followers, the BBC Top Gear gear team, Clarkson et al, have just been outside my offices in London with their cameras and a 924, 944 and 928 which they look to have picked up on the cheap, arguing about which one is best. I did my best to defend the 924 against the usual barrage of insults.....(and set beanpole Clarkson straight on a few niceities of the 924 engine - Van engine blah blah blah!). No idea when it's going on air. I guess I had better tell my Mum.

Looks like that we will have to share Top Gear glory with the 944 and 928 - not what I expected but I suppose their idea for the show changed over time.

Still should be fun, but I hope they don't trash the 924 (in both senses) []

does anyone know if this episode is available to buy anywhere on DVD, i have been looking on Dave but never managed to catch it
