Beaulieu Pre 1973 day

ORIGINAL: Helen Goff

so how can i tell if my car is gay? [:-]

[ridiculous stereotype] By the Judy Garland CDs in the glove box and it's immaculate attention to detail [;)] [ridiculous stereotype]

Yes it's too late (sorry) . . . . but you can still come . . . simply means you'll pay an extra £4 p.p on the gate (i.e. the normal Beaulieu fee).

You still get to park with the rest of us etc, etc.

Cheers
Phil

Seems to be quite a lot of folk going down Saturday night for this. Is anybody going down on the Sunday morning/interested in doing a convoy?

My ride has a knickname of 'Lipstick' making me a tad worried about advances from the 'other' club.

I'm getting a number of people asking me when the event starts (which is a fair question). . . so doors open at . . . 10am but you are free to turn up and leave as and when you want. No specific time for finishing.

If you want a breakfast at the hotel on route it's All you can eat for £3.95. I expect we all we leave the hotel for the event at 10am just to let the traffic die down..

I think we are looking at about 30 cars at the hotel but over 45 rooms booked so it might be more cars

Mark, please confirm this . . .

If people want to join us for a drink, they can meet us at the 'Fruit' bar (which is within the Dolphin Hotel, High Street, Southampton) between 7:30 to 9pm on the Saturday night (we're arriving by taxi so there won't be loads of Porsches in the car park).

After 9pm we are moving acorss the road for a meal . . . which unfortunately is booked up.

Cheers
Phil

Phil 100% RIGHT

If you want to join us the Taxi number is 0700 0700 0700 other taxi numbers are as follows stream line 023 80 22 33 55 and La Lupa may have space on the night if not we have the option to use Blue which is a resturant next to fruit for any one who has not got a table in la lupa's

Don't forget to book a return time for your taxi's guys... we have booked 10:45-11:00 as a return..

Dolphin has a car park if some one drives and I would with out putting my neck on the line say I would be happy to park my Porsche there rather than in the street.

Thanks Phil -- sorry not to have made personal contact -- never knew there were so many Earlies about -- your predecessor Mark Waring was about - taking the odd pic of my motor amongst others -- much chat & information exchange, as always at these meets a most valuable source of "where do I get hold of such & such ? "
And at the Motor Museum -- do any of those fine motors ever get an airing ? ( Campbell's transport excepted ). The late King Hussein's Collection in Amman, Jordan has three desirable Porsches on show -- not a speck of dust, but probably strangers to daylight & tarmac for many a year. Colin Palmer
