becker cdr-22 changer compatibility

How do you enable the CD unit input on the head unit menu please. This might solve my problem where the PCMs has stopped recognising the CD multi-changer.

I only have a manual for the US equivalent CDR220 (see FAQ section) which says that it should be ready as soon as the CDC is connected, and a full magazine is inserted. If there was an option for enabling it, it would probably be in the user menu - press the down arrow button for longer than 8 seconds.

Maybe Mark has some better information.

my headunit recognised the changer as soon as it was plugged in. anyone know if pretty much any sony changer will be compatible or if its only specific models. Also would a 10disc changer work?

Richard - thank you. I may be missing something obvious but I cannot find a 'down arrow' on my PCM2 or on any of the menus. Can you point me in the right direction please?

.

PCM? Sorry, I thought you had a CDR22.

If you have retrofitted a CDC-4, then it needs coding with a Porsche tester.

If it was original fitment, try resetting the system by pressing 1, 4 & 8 at the same time.

G60kg i have sent you e mail ,if the unit is faulty you can send it back to me and i will refund the money

Thanks Richard. 1-4-8 reset made no difference, but I happened to remove the spare wheel (I needed the headlamp adjust allen key as going abroad). Put the spare wheel back and the PCM decided to recognise the multi-CD. No reason - but it all works now. All I can think of is that if the spare wheel securing bolt is fastened too tight it could distort the rear boot panel and somehow affect the CD which is also fastened to this back panel.
